Since full-time students are involved in at least fifty-four hours of study [eighteen (18) hours of class work per week and thirty-six (36) additional hours of outside study], it is not feasible for them to engage in full-time secular employment. However, the weekly schedule at NCSBS has been designed to enable the student to be involved in part-time work if he chooses.  Classes for full-time students do not meet on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Employment for wives is often available in the Piedmont-Triad [Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point] area. If circumstances permit, a married student's wife is encouraged to work to help with living expenses.

Sunday preaching appointments are sometimes available in the area, and men may receive some income from these, however, this should not be considered in determining one's financial needs.
